We tend to think of metals as cold and natural materials like wood and bone as warm materials.  Put them together and you get a unique combination as seen in the wire wrapped jewelry designs of Yannikoart (no longer available).

The artisans behind the OOAK (one of a kind) designs are Hungarians János Mezei and Anikó Hencz who are currently based in Hungary and Vienna. They use hand carved wood and bone as the foundations to their wire wrapped jewelry.  They use beautiful wood like mahogany and cherry and include beads and gemstones to their designs

The bone (probably cattle bone) they use is also hand carved after it is cleaned, degreased, sanitized and whitened which is a long process.

Their design approach takes advantage of the contours of the natural foundations. The wire wrapped portions become focal areas, bringing color and detail to the wonderful pieces.
