Handmade bails on pendants should look as good on the back as it does on the front. It is the hallmark of a meticulous artisan.  Jan Mortasi over on Flickr shared his awesome polymer clay pendant bail tip. Not only did he create a jump ring bail in a novel way, he also added a rubber "O" ring in such a way the pendant remains stationary on the necklace cord.

If the necklace cord is thin, he recommends using 2 "O" rings. This tip is excellent as the clasp remains at the back because the pendant is made to stay in the front!  Brilliant.

Hardware stores and chain mail suppliers will have these rubber or silicone "O" rings.

Also note his beautiful logo block with a little rhinestone in the center.
