Lamp work bead artist, Sheila Davis of Washington, USA is a full time designer. Her shop Stone Designs by Sheila shows her incredible talent for color, texture and above all deft control of molten glass!
She sells some finished jewelry but it is her beautiful lampwork focal beads and bead sets which stand out. Surely somewhere in her inventory are just the right beads for discerning jewelry designers looking for unique components.
Sheila has many beautiful beads so it was incredibly difficult to pick my favorites. I have to say that I was charmed with her seasonal beads (I featured a Christmas themed set in this previous post) and some of her vase or urn beads like this one :
Sheila's lampwork studio shows how different her set up is compared to other jewelry designers. For starters, she has to store many long glass rods and has to have a proper exhaust hood for good ventilation!
