Geometric beadwork designs are crowd pleasers. This is likely because the projects are fun and challenging to do.  The designs also have a contemporary look about them. If you are a fan of geometric designs, then check out the beautiful tutorials by Greek beader, Theodora Seimeni of ZiaLolaBeadsIt.

She is a whiz at working with triangles, chevrons, diamonds, rectangles and squares.

I have chosen my favorites - no easy task - to show off her style.  Some pieces look metallic, others on the tribal side or evoke rhinestones.

She explained how her passion began, "It was December of 2013 when, trying to clear some space in the storage room at my parents-in- law’s house, I came across a couple of samples made of pearls. It was meant to be a tote and a few bracelets made up of seed beads. The work belonged to my mother-in-law, Toula, a great person, a creative and talented woman, a teacher of Fine Arts." Once she was introduced to beadweaving, she began to learn more about it from books and from other designers.

Many of us can relate to what she felt. She said, "I knew it was love at first sight, geometric beadwork. This was, a road with no turning back! When these tiny, cute colorful beads were used to craft every possible geometric shape flat or three-dimensional, it felt so good. This is when I actually got hooked and when I realized I loved Peyote stitch more than any of the other stitches.  I started to create fun patterns with my geometric cuffs."

Theodora got very, very good at what she does.  It just took 2 years before she opened her Etsy store!
