Sapphirus is a wonderful Japanese beader whose tutorials rock a contemporary style.  I previously wrote about her two unusual bugle beaded ring tutorials. She created open square shapes. This peyote earrings tutorial is also a variation of the frame look but she filled it with crystals!

The videos are clear and without words so you don't need to know Japanese! The materials you need for each project are listed in English. She calls bugles bamboo beads which makes better sense than the word we use for them.

That square open frame look is also in this bugle beaded bracelet tutorial.

This bracelet tutorial has the bugle beads in clusters.

I love how she made this odd count tubular peyote necklace super long so it can be stylishly knotted if one wanted to!

This one is neat!  The twisted look is due to varying bead sizes. You can always experiment using longer bugle beads.  Using metallic beads is also a good option.
