Some of my favorite beadwork designs are geometric. They are structured and modern looking. Not to mention colorful as well as you can see from Barbara Briggs Designs!
This Illinois bead artist says, " I find bead weaving fascinating and enjoy designing new creations and tutorials! Creating one-of-a-kind pieces keeps my work fresh, allowing new ideas to burst forth."
Barbara has a wonderful sense of pattern, color and structure. She has both tutorials and beadweaving kits in her extensive store. The designs were so striking, it was hard to choose just a few to feature here.
She is often inspired by other contemporary beadwork designers. For example, her Fire Dragon Wrap necklace design shown above, is"an original design inspired by Kate McKinnon's book, Contemporary Geometric Beadwork, and my previous "Sea Dragon" Wrap designs." It can be made fit a wrist by changing some of the beads.
