Samantha Burroughs of JessamaDesign has a neat liquid polymer clay pendant tutorial. The thin layer of translucent clay she uses gives a window effect when it is sandwiched between two frames.

I do like how she added a stamped design as well as other inclusions like metallic flakes.

If she had used more liquid polymer clay, the result will be less transparent.  So to strengthen the flexible liquid polymer clay design, she opted for a layer of resin.

I have featured Samantha's wonderful store before - she has unique supplies and tutorials.
