Toronto based Lucie of Wireupgem is best known for her gorgeous musical instrument wire wrapped pendant tutorials (shown below). You can see my past feature here. But she has been working hard lately to come up with initial pendants with Swarovski crystal focals.
Three lucky winners of this giveaway will each receive an initial pendant tutorial of their choice.
She has pretty much covered the entire alphabet except for "X". So if you are a Xavier or Ximena, you might have to wait a little longer!
As you can see from her designs, the tutorials will teach you not just to wire wrap but to hand forge the wire as well as to hammer and file metal.
She has an imaginative way with wire loops which work to become the foundation of where the crystals go!
Can't do wire? Check out Lucie's beautiful finished wire jewelry designs over on WireupgemArt. Shown here are some of my favorites :
Violin Necklace in Sterling Silver :
Wire Wrap Bracelet in Brass :
Sterling Silver Seahorse Wire Wrapped Pendant with Opal, Labradorite, Aqua quartz and lapis lazuli.

ReplyDeleteI have always admired the scripted wirework, reminds me of my mother's bracelet made in the '40s, where a gifted artist sculpted 'Katherine Mary' in square gold filled wire.
ReplyDeleteI would love to be the lucky recipient of this tutorial, and five it a go myself. Thanks so much, Miss Pearl!
These are beautiful! I haven't had much luck with making initials out of wire so this tutorial would be GREAT to win!

ReplyDeleteIt would be very hard to select as my husband and I as well as all 3 daughter's names begin with a "D" but out of my granddaughters "M" is the prevalent initial. If I win one, I will have to buy the other one. ................and I have been wanting to play with some wire designs. Could provide a great opportunity.
