Minimalist jewelry is always popular. But have you ever considered how hard it is to come up with such simple elements AND perfectly create the designs? That is what Swedish metalsmith, Shani ,does for her store, AIRlab.
Some of her most fun and impeccable designs can be found in her minimalist earrings section. I have selected 3 of my favorites including a pair of ear climbers from that section and shown how they look worn with the modeled pictures.
Shani also makes other types of earrings such as ear cuffs and hoops, septums (nose rings) rings, necklaces and bracelets. She said, "Simplicity and edgy minimalism is my inspiration. I like to experiment with geometric shapes and flat surfaces to create airy and delicate jewelry."
She works with different metals - sterling silver, brass, copper, gold-filled and is up to the challenge of custom orders!

I had to go look at her store when you mentioned ear cuffs. They are something I wear daily. I love them and Shani's are delightful!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a minimalist jewelry wearer - but these designs are beautiful in their simplicity.
Thanks for the share Pearl. Have bookmarked this seller.
Just the sort of thing I like to wear, Pearl - thanks for sharing. And all the unexpected shapes have set my mind whirring around how I could incorporate something similar in my work!
