Crunch time, right? For those of you who celebrate Christmas and choose to share gifts, this is the time for wrapping presents.

I really love the way the Japanese wrap their gifts on the diagonal - watch this hack. But there is more you can do with paper. Make origami gift boxes!  You do not need  a ruler, scissors or tape - just origami paper. Light earrings and rings will fit into these!

These tutorials are by Japanese crafter, Sweet Paper who has many box tutorials.  I have chosen my 3 favorites to feature. The first tutorial pictured above uses only 1 sheet of square paper is easy to do.

Another 1 sheet paper box tutorial is this one which opens up! The designer says "If you use 15 cm x 15 cm origami, the box size will be: (L)4.3 cm x (W)4 cm x (H)3.2 cm approximately."

This beautiful ring box tutorial requires 2 sheets of origami paper.

This lovely folded heart box tutorial can also be used for Valentine's Day or any special day gift!

This flip top box tutorial is clever!
