I have come across many triangle beadwork tutorials. However this one wonderful tutorial by the Spanish instructor, Teres Pinillos, of Crystal Dreams shows off contemporary chic!
It's basically doing peyote on the diagonal. The beginning set-up is tricky as you have to get the beads just so. But as the work progresses, you can see it gets much easier to build up the shape. The colors and pattern are key to making this pair of earrings stunning.
Alas, the whole tutorial is in Spanish with no English subtitles. You can get a list of the supplies (or purchase the kit) as well as a chart here.

diagonal peyote is not for the faint-of-heart! great tutorial. I'm curious, if it has four sides is it still a "triangle"? it's certainly not "square".... 🤷♀️
ReplyDeleteThe triangular part refers less to the resultant shape but more to the start.
Deleteahhhhh
DeleteHow fascinating. It turns out that once you get through the first row that it really becomes a flat odd count peyote with the herringbone stitch substituting for one of the peyote stitches and causing it to increase in length. Cool!!
ReplyDeleteI thought it was cool too!
