I first featured Jordanian bead jewelry designer, Mary Jane (a pseudonym) of AlKhazneh, a few years ago. Her designs were inspired by the beautiful colors and patterns of the Middle East and of the rock formations of Petra. Petra is Jordan's most famous historic site - most of you will recognize it from the movie, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. You can read more about Petra in my previous post.

She shared some of her spectacular pictures which I have reposted here - the designer herself on horseback in the desert and those of Petra itself (see below).

She is clearly passionate about beading and has come up with many more designs since then. Here are some of my favorites from her recent collection. I really like how she integrates half tilas and bugle beads into her designs.

Definitely a designer to keep an eye on as she continues to come up with new patterns all the time!
