The Victorians and Edwardians wore lariat necklaces but the style including other long necklaces became wildly popular during the Flapper era in the 1920's. The long look suited the straight lined short dresses of the day. Lariats are still popular today. Don't forget to check out past beaded lariat tutorial links at the end.

Shown here are some beaded lariat necklace designs to inspire! The design above features cylindrical balls on the necklace. The designer is Shira at hobbylandarltd.
