You'd think that paper is not a good material for jewelry but it can be if properly treated and stored. One of the best examples of gorgeous laser cut paper jewelry is Paper Couture which are kits offered by Danish artist and designer, Karen-Marie Fabricius. You could say it was the ideal marriage between crafting and jewelry making.

The kits include materials for a set of jewelry. The Klip Gold below for instance includes the materials for a necklace and a matching brooch as well as the specially formulated paint, glue, hardener and findings.

Equally lovely is the red Monarch Butterfly and blue Flying Butterfly sets (below). There are apparently 16 kits available but they are hard to get unless you contact the designer's craft company, Karen-Marie Klip. Plaid (US) sells a few of the kits.

If you are willing to try your hand at scissor cut not laser cut jewelry, Bayou Dreamer aka as Karen Halbrook's free tutorial shows you how to use printed graphics, decoupage glue and so on to make unique paper jewelry.
