Chandeliers for your ears
Part 2 of 2
I never gave a second thought to fluorescent light covers but perhaps I should because they can be quite pretty close up. These upcycled chandelier earrings  by The Opulent Project are wonderful examples of how to reuse cast out materials to make stunning earrings.  Thanks Michelle, for this great tip!

The Opulent Project was founded by Portland based Meg Drinkwater and Erin Gardner in 2007. They take a conceptual approach to jewelry design by investigating "opulence within the context of our society’s obsession with material possessions". They definitely succeeded in making their point as shown by their chandelier earrings. These cut out shapes take their inspiration from real opulent chandeliers as you can see below.

It might also be possible to recycle the crystal from real chandeliers but only the very smallest pieces. Size didn't stop one young girl in one of the stories from this past post - Hilarious Site About When Customers Are Not Always Right!
