I am always in awe of lamp work artists. They not only work with molten glass but they manage to create truly unique beads and focals. If you are making handmade jewelry, why not use a handmade bead? One which no one else has.
Jeannie Galt is a Canadian lamp work artist who lives in Ontario. She specializes in one of a kind art beads as you can see from her store, JEANNIESBEADS.
My favorites are her tree beads - simply stunning landscapes using silvered glass. Her colorful art beads remind me of modern art. Jeannie also makes button beads!

I have some of her beads (bought at bead shows in Michigan). They really are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI am not only in awe of people who do lampworking - but I'm jealous as well. I would LOVE to do this - but I'm afraid of burning down my barn if I accidently drop a piece of molten glass. Sigh....
ReplyDeleteI've had to bookmark Jeannie's store of course. Her work is gorgeous!
I'm surprised that with her last name being Galt that she doesn't live in Cambridge! ;0)
