Wire wrapped jewelry really becomes stunning when patina is applied to the finished work. The darkened areas give the designs depth and details are highlighted. The richness of copper is especially gorgeous when this treatment is carried out.
Check out Indian wire artist, Gopi Dave of ArtsvilleHandcrafted's work. The patina on her finished pieces as well as her tutorials adds to the beauty of of her organic designs.
What I liked about her tutorials is the range of shapes of gemstones, cabochons and beads. One less common shape is the triangular or broad tear drop one (last tutorial pictured below). Something for everyone!
