British beadwork designer, Carol Paris,  lives and works in rural Aberdeenshire in Northeastern Scotland. Many rescued animals live with her family. So it is no wonder adorable bead embroidered brooch tutorials are part of her Etsy, BumblebeadCrafts.

It is hard to pick favorites but I especially love her little foxes and the puffin bird brooch shown above.

  • Carol clearly loves playing with her beads as she is good at putting together different types of beads into pleasing designs.  I always thought Zoliduos are awkward to work with. But in Carol's creative mind, that is not the case.  See her pretty Paloma's Path bracelet tutorial. She says :

I work from my cosy and colourful studio in my garden, designing and creating fresh and quirky beadwoven and bead embroidered jewellery and gifts. I usually design using a process I have come to call “Bead Doodling” – in other words I play, experiment and explore with the beads until I am happy with the final design. I believe this leads to happy jewellery that will make my customers smile.
