Holly Kurzman of HillcrestStudio  is best known for her two drop peyote beaded bracelet designs. She freely admits she is addicted to this particular stitch.

That is quite understandable as two drop peyote is faster than the regular peyote stitch. So beginners like this kind of off loom beadweaving.  More experienced beaders will enjoy the speedy technique.

Holly recently had her first book published, naturally called Two-Drop Peyote Patterns.  It contains 22 of her designs in a single book - a great value for the price.

In an age where so much is now online, the book format will suit those who struggle with working from the computer or tablet. All her designs come with both charts as well as written row by row instructions -  both are highly visible.

Holly explains what inspires her :

My designs are influenced by the places I've lived -- New York City, San Francisco, Kauai & currently Languedoc (France) -- as well as the many places I've traveled across the U.S. & the world.

Her patterns are versatile in that beaders can choose different color combinations. They aren't overly complex either which makes the two-drop peyote technique a pleasure to do.

Here is a flip through of the book :

Note : Holly's book was published through Kalmbach Media.  It is likely the last jewelry making book to be published by them.

As many of you already know, Kalmbach Media permanently shuttered the Bead and Button Show as well as the Bead and Button magazine last year.  The slow decline in print publications and live shows in the digital age accelerated with the pandemic.
