I was initially drawn to British designer, Justine Gage, of TooTalltoBead's geometric designs such as the lovely bracelet above. But there is more to her work than just geometric shapes.
I like how she builds on them with different crystals and beads. She also has an affinity for creating motifs - one of my favorites is her rose flower bracelet design with a pretty toggle and loop clasp. A clever cufflink clasp is another option.
Her romantic Anita bracelet below is another standout. A wonderful combination of beaded squares with the pearl and crystal medallions!
Justine describes herself as a woman of many interests and talents. Besides beading she is also into sewing and gardening.
Her shop name was unusual so I asked if she was really tall and this is her reply :
Yes I am, I'm 6' tall! When I was thinking of a name it was at a time when I was teaching in person quite a lot, so I thought of something that people would definitely remember if they had met me.
In fact I have now moved on and in addition to my beading patterns I am hoping to teach sewing classes and publish online projects under the name of .....Too Tall To Sew! Which has the added benefit of appealing to the tall sewing community.
I have instagram accounts in both of these names - TooTalltoBead and TooTalltoSew. For the beading I'm no longer teaching a regular class, but I do sometimes publish in magazines, most recently in the Beadworker's Guild Journal (May). I do still run a weekly zoom class on a Friday afternoon ant 2pm (BST - British Summer Time) called "Beady Lunch Club" and we have international members. People can just message me for more details.

Clearly I spend too much time buying patterns on Etsy because most of the time when you feature an Etsy pattern designer, I've already got a couple of their patterns. This one is no exception!
