A few years ago, I featured Kathy King's lovely bead quilled jewelry tutorials. But looking at her work on KathyKingJewelryShop recently, I was reminded that Kathy has more designs to her sculptural repertoire which I will share here.
This North Carolina based designer developed her unique beading style back in 2007. She stacks beads via ladder stitch in such a way that the bead holes are exposed and the visible threads are part of the design. She deliberately chooses thread colors to compliment her designs.
Kathy clearly loves to build up her beadwork designs by sculpting with seed beads!
