Some of the prettiest beaded jewelry designs I have come across are those by Romanian artisan, Ruxandra Puscas. The banner pictures for her store Margiques shows just how talented she is. Ruxandra can certainly create stunning statement pieces.
Her design tutorials are for smaller pieces like pendants, earrings and bracelets. Her forte is the use of small seed beads which gives her designs a dainty and elegant look. Shown here are my favorites from her collection. One particular design included a tutorial for 3 in 1 earrings (see last picture below) which gives you the option of making two different sized elements which can be joined together for a pair of statement earrings. I also liked her Rhombique earrings which use bicones like focals - a great idea for keeping the earrings small.
A charming store indeed!

ReplyDeleteHer designs are beautiful. I will always enjoy looking at beautiful beaded jewelry, but I am no longer doing beading,
ReplyDeleteHer beadwork is beyond beautiful! Gorgeous! She’s very talented and brings just the right balance to her style. I am definitely going to try some of her patterns. She and I have similar interests. She’s amazing!
ReplyDeleteRUXANDRA is one of my favorite bead artists. I have made a couple of her pendants. The first one on your post I have made a couple times. They look so dainty but the ingenious way that she reinforces them on the back keep them stiff without having to use floor polish or any of the other 'tricks". The patterns are quite easy to follow and the finished work gets everyone attention.
ReplyDeleteShe's awesome for sure. Thanks for pointing out her reinforcing trick - sure beats floor polish!
