Over the years, I bought crochet thread to use for kumihimo jewelry making. Now I am stuck with leftover thread.  So I am always looking for crochet earrings tutorials.

This one is so pretty and it incorporates beads too.  The tutorial is by MavicsCraftsandAccessories. The hoop is a plastic ring which is first covered with crochet stitches. The beads are 4 mm in size and must have holes which allow the tip of the crochet hook to go through.

The instructor uses a 1.25 mm crochet hook. She doesn't mention the thickness of the crochet cotton. I would guess it will be a #10 or even finer.  It's best to choose a hook size smaller than you would normally in order to make sure the stitches are tight. The last picot row results in an attractive finish.

The earrings look as just good with a multi-colored combination as well as in a single color.
