Sometimes, people you love or care about, need just an encouragement or reassurance that you still care and are thinking  about them even if you cannot be there. One clever way besides sending a card is the much more tangible pocket hug.

Shown here are my picks for really creative pocket hugs from some clever designers. The beautiful laser cut hand painted cardinal wood pocket hug seen above is from Pennsylvanian artisan, Nancy of DreamersDaughter. She has other lovely designs, so be sure to check those out.

This dandelion seed resin heart pocket heart below is by Canadian designer of Lwoods0811. The double sided card also includes a message on the back side.

Such a beautifully hand sewn heart for a pocket hug. This design is especially for a little one starting off on his/her first day of school. The designer is Connecticut based Jennifer of TheFunkiLittleFrog. Jennifer makes an amazing range of hand made pocket hugs!

Pocket hugs can be made of many different materials. This hand poured and hand stamped pewter pocket hug coin is by Virginian designer, Samantha of XpressiveMpressions

There are tons of crochet hearts as pocket hugs. But I couldn't help but smile at these much more unusual squeezable turtle pocket hugs. Beautifully crocheted by Turkish designer Gulsum of glsmboutique. She has an amazing range of crochet car mirror ornaments!

TUTORIALS

Also available for the DIYers are all kinds of printable pocket hug cards such as these  from Australian designer, BBTimelessDesigns. There are many other printable pocket card designs to check out!

Beaders might like this beaded heart on an envelope tutorial which can be used as a keychain charm or on a necklace as a constant reminder for the wearer of your thoughts and concerns sent their way. The UK designer is Carol of BumblebeadCrafts

I love the idea of sending a little hug encased in its own card as seen in this hug design. This is not a physical product but a SVG cut file for those with access to laser cutters. The Israeli designer is Shelly of LaserWallaby
