Sleep is sometimes elusive for some. Indeed many sleep disorders increase the older we get. So it is always admirable to see an adorable sleeping animal and wonder how they manage such peaceful slumber!

Shown here are some lovely sleeping animal jewelry and a couple of felted tutorials. First up is the forest fox pendant necklace designed by German artisan, Claudia Poepsel for her shop, VillaSorgenfrei.  It features a hand gilded fox head and a glass globe filled with real moss and tree bark.

This beautiful sleeping fox necklace was designed by English illustrator, Tom of TomHardwickDraws

Some people are so talented! These lovely polymer clay sleeping animal cabochons by will make great pendants! The Ukrainian designer is Katerina Piskunova of SonDrevoJewelry. She also has several barn owl cabochons which includes one sleeping bird.

Cats were a certainty for this list as they sleep 2/3 of the day!  This pretty pair of enamel sleeping cat earrings were designed by Canadian artisan, Cathy Olliffe-Webster of ColdLakeCathy.

This beautiful sterling silver sleeping bunny pendant necklace features a natural moonstone. The British designer is Elaine Serenum of SerenumArtPrints

Tutorials

Small felted animals make great unusual jewelry. If not pendants, consider brooches. If you are into felting, then you should check out these two sleeping animal tutorials!

The first sleeping bunny tutorial is by The Wishing Shed

The second tutorial for a sleeping fox is by The Needle Felter

Making up your bed in the mornings means it will be inviting once night time rolls by. At least, that is what I think. But my bed making skills pales in comparison to these Japanese guys in a bed making competition!  Mind you, they don't have to contend with sleeping cats (or dogs) on the bed!
