Need quick gift ideas? Here is a tip. Many people like stretchy bead bracelets as they are easy to put on and stay snug against the wrist.  A popular variation is the use of jump rings in between the rondelles or round beads.  Check out this tutorial from Juliet of Spoilt Rotten BeadsTV. The full lists of supplies is in the video description.

The tutorial uses 8x 6 mm rondelles, 8 mm x 1.6 mm closed rings. You can use jump rings but make sure the rings are tightly closed and the elastic you use is sturdier otherwise the latter could slip through the gap in the rings. It's also important to make sure the beads are pull tight so that the rings sit properly over the beads and much of the clear elastic is not so visible.

What I really like about this design is the use of a metal tube bead. It functions as a focal but because it is a large holed bead, it can also hide the elastic knots.

Other variations include doubling up on the rings. Or adding a clasp if you don't like stretchy bracelets.

If you really want to improve on this style of elasticated bracelets, check out my previous post about Bead Spider's Professional Elastic or Stretch Bracelet Tutorial Which Uses No Glue.
