I have always loved the "alternative" metals to gold and silver. They have colour and are relatively inexpensive. If you're like me, check out this Mexican workshop called SupplyDiva. They have many different metal findings in copper, brass, bronze as well as silver. 

Such bounties from tiny charms to gallery wire, to various embossed blanks ready for patina. Metal stampers will also find some excellent shapes here.

I started this workshop 10+ years ago to help young women in the little village I live in. I built the workshop, had some meager tools. We slowly have obtained more items and now have some nice equipment (Thanks in part to Jamie King who has donated time and items to our tiny workshop!). They learn a trade, make a living, and to help strengthen their families and keep them from going to the US illegally, we also help others in the village that are not able to work or provide for themselves. 

It didn't take much for it to get started, the need was there, the desire to work hard too. So slowly we began working together and now it has grown. We now have 20 people total, 15 young women and 5 men. I don't have to push them to do anything, they are all more than willing to work and are so very grateful for the opportunity to learn.
