TierraCast are sure on a roll! They have added even more top quality pewter findings to their collection. I was sent samples for review. Let me say, I had a hard time settling on some designs as my mind went into creative overdrive! But I managed to zoom in on some favorite jewelry findings from their Make a Statement collection. So read on!
Note that this US company wholesales so check out your favorite jewelry supplier for Tierracast jewelry findings. They can also be purchased on Amazon as well as online sites like Fire Mountain Gems.
One thing I liked about this collection are the choices between simpler designs and more ornate ones.
I really love all their open lotus findings! Use these in jewelry designs for yoga enthusiasts!
There are also different kinds of drops available, some of which are crystal filled or empty (fill with clay or resin) :
So I combined both the lotus and a crystal drop - they call this a flame charm- for a simple long necklace.
If I had to choose my absolute top favorite, it would their amazing stud earrings which have loops for dangles. I teamed this particular stud with the Ethnic Fan findings for a tribal look!
Perhaps little more challenging to use are their V and cross links as well as faceted chevron beads.
But I had no trouble seeing arrows with the chevron beads! I used 26 G colored coil wire lengths rather than bugle beads :
Then it was chain mail (byzantine weave) meets cross links!
You do need to gently curve the cross links in a bracelet application so that these sit better on wrists. The tool I used is a nylon jawed bracelet bending pliers.
TierraCast's in house designers also showed this wonderful creation on their promotional booklet. The chevron beads, cross link and V components were all cleverly used in a single chandelier earrings design:
These double sided ethnic ring fans are also lovely.
Their tassel earrings also inspired me to come up with a tassel design of my own.
I naturally couldn't resist filling the open bezel with a little wire work for my tassel necklace.

Beautiful selection of findings
ReplyDeleteTierra Cast as certainly outdone themselves once again!
ReplyDeleteTo make a statement piece from findings says more than enough for the design of the base pieces.
Gone are the days when findings were just jump rings, posts, connectors. These findings could be stand alone pieces without any embellishments whatsoever. You just can't say that these days any more.
I love how these findings have you creating on a whole different design level Pearl. The younger haircut teams up with Tierra Cast findings for a younger look all around! Hooray!!
Thank you for sharing Pearl, these findings will make a great addition to my ever growing supply. I have a showing coming up and will be able to add new designs to the collection. debb_245@sbcglobal.net

I love the stud earrings! I have always disliked using the plain earwires on my beaded earrings, especially the more ornate ones. It just struck me as being unfinished on alot of designs. Kind of like a mason lid on top of a beautiful piece of pottery lol. TierraCast's studs with a loop on the bottom is the perfect finishing touch. I really like how you paired the stud with the fan, clever and beautiful, and a very quick last minute gift if needed. What you did with the lotus flower and the flame drop is beautiful too. I can't pick anything you did with these that I don't like. TierraCast's sample with the diamondduos is amazing. I never think of making a project using mainly findings. They are always just the finishing touch rather than the main course...this has my brain working in overdrive.
ReplyDeleteThanks again for a chance to win TierraCast's design inspiring findings.
I totally agree with you Valerie about plain ear wires for some designs. Thanks for your wonderful compliments as with everyone else's.
