To say I am charmed by the awesome jewelry making components from Bohemian Findings is an understatement. Fellow Canadians, Hope and Glen, once owned a wholesale jewelry business as well as a gift and gourmet food store. But some years ago, they escaped the stress and daily grind by fleeing to beautiful rural Prince Edward Island, Canada's smallest province. I have many fond memories of family vacations there! Did you know PEI is the setting for Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery?

With children at school, what started as a quest for a slower pace of life, unexpectedly developed into something more. "As we were going through "stuff", we decided to get rid of a number of boxes of charms and beads left over from our wholesale jewelry designs. Fast forward... the stock sold and sold and sold... we bought more and more... and Bohemian Findings was born. When we moved a year later, half the moving truck was charms!" This family run business which also includes their son, Andy, now have a team to help them manage the business.

Bohemian Findings is a very large store with thousands of items.  So be prepared to browse. Shown here are some of my favorites.

You can make some pretty cool earrings with these buttons. See my past tutorial  : All in One Button Earrings.

I also love their uncommon charms like these oxytocin molecule ones.  Oxytocin is a neurotransmitter and hormone. One of its major roles is during labor where it helps with the contractions.  Design a jewelry piece especially for a new mother with these!

Of special note are their exclusive line of LASER engraved stainless steel charms. They explained :"Etching or engraving only scratches the charm surface and produces a white, hard to read script. Our Laser method actually cuts deeply into the charm and brings out the dark tones of the metal. Your phrase will be clearly legible in any light... easy to read... fabulous quality! We do all the lasering right here in rural PEI!"  All their charms are lead and cadmium free and nickel safe.

This one could well go with a medical alert type bracelet design :

Perfect for BFFs!

I've seen a lot of motivational charms over the years - this one is my all time favorite :
