Cath Thomas is an accomplished and published Dutch beader who lives in Geneva, Switzerland. Her shop, SamohtaC, showcases her unique ability to come up with modern beading patterns and tutorials.

One charming design I love is her versatile dimensional cellini peyote Precious Pomander design.  She explains, "It starts by being a lovely napkin ring, and then morphs into a pretty flower, or tiny bowl, and then becomes a bauble that you can 'jewel up' with chain, golden drops, charms and a tassel, or crystals.".

What inspired her beaded pomanders?  It turns out Cath has a little history with perfumes and explains what that is in her delightful blog post, Perfumes and Pomanders. She discusses the experiments she made to make this design suitable for essential oils.  Her pomander tutorial goes into detail.

Cath admits she is "a Cellini Peyote freak. And a pearl aficionado. My moto could be "If it ain't got pearls, it's got to have swirls.""  Her Cellini Spiral section offers tutorial bundles.

I am envious of Cath's bright and breezy beading studio!  Follow Cath on Facebook! She often has wonderful posts for all to enjoy.
