Making a Turquoise Pendant Using 12 G Copper Wire

Thicker wire makes for not just stronger designs but they look better too. But working with thick wire is harder.  So one tip is to use copper which is a soft wire.

Gloria Uhler of Domestic Diva Online has a nifty trick to bend 12 G copper wire to make a simple pendant . The frame is then used to wire wrap a side drilled turquoise bead.

She uses just a simple card to bend the wire rather than tools. This avoids possible tool marks.

  2. The trick with the card is nifty! Too bad it's impossible to get dead soft wire in my country but I'm going to try it anyway :)
