Thicker wire makes for not just stronger designs but they look better too. But working with thick wire is harder.  So one tip is to use copper which is a soft wire.

Gloria Uhler of Domestic Diva Online has a nifty trick to bend 12 G copper wire to make a simple pendant . The frame is then used to wire wrap a side drilled turquoise bead.


She uses just a simple card to bend the wire rather than tools. This avoids possible tool marks.
