I think I can be forgiven if I first thought Montreal based Catherine Boulet of CatBouletDesign was a metalsmith!  The vintage brass style pieces with various gemstones and crystals were designed to be amulets.

She is actually a polymer clay jewelry designer.  No metal is used in her work except for the chains and findings!  She explains that it is the paint and finish which results in her faux metal style.

Many of her designs are based on the moon. She is also inspired by the natural world.

This mother of two explained, "Having the ability to do great things with my hands is a gift I have used all my life! Drawing, cake decoration, crochet, making potion bottles for Halloween, making my own soap and lotion are all things I love to create! But jewelry making is the highlight of my creativity."  That certainly shows!
