Kerri (Fihr) Keffeler of Washington, USA is a wonderful lamp work artist as you can see when you explore KerriKeffelerBeads! Her nature inspired work includes her amazing barn owl beads and focals as well as beautiful bees and dragonfly designs.
Her lamp work designs all show beautiful details. I particularly love her way of adding color mixes to the wings and bodies of the insects.

I am a full-time glass bead artist, happily making beads for over 18 years. My specialty is creating miniature glass "paintings", which are ornate glass focal beads that feature landscapes, animals and dragonflies....and anything else that captures my fancy!My newest work also features bead sets with my intricate tapestry-inspired scrollwork. ReplyDeleteI really admire anyone who can do lampwork. Kerri's art is simply beautiful. Her choices of bees, dragonflies, animals, and OWLS! OMG! She had me at owls...everyone who knows me knows that!
ReplyDeleteI have always wished I could learn how to do this but I've always been afraid of dropping molten glass in my studio and burning down my 140 yr. old barn/home.
Going back to ogle her barn owls again and dream...
