This bracelet tutorial by Tereza Soukupova of Potomac Beads shows an unusual combination of materials - a stamped metal tag with beadwork!
The odd count peyote bracelet is not difficult to do. The accent beads are added on top and also function to cover the holes of the tag, thus securing it.
The material list is here. You clearly do not have to be a metal stamper as finished tags are available. But if you are, then customize away!

very clever! I've embellished peyote bracelets with other beads, and even charms, but never a tag like this. I'm already thinking about tags....
