Felting little pieces of detailed artwork is not easy. My experience with trying to felt simple dryer balls was a constant exercise in not stabbing myself with those barbed needles!
However, Polish artisan, Irena Biskup of PeacockFelt is a whiz at felting and creating detailed animal brooches and other accessories. She also makes non-animal designs so be sure to check out her store.
Her birds are gorgeous. The poison dart frog on a leaf brooch is also stunning. But most of all I love her dragons ranging from small brooches to necklaces and scarves!
