Shrink plastic jewelry has come a long way.  Crafters like Californian AmyMade on Youtube  are showing beautiful examples such as for her fun juicy lemon slice earrings tutorial (click through for her list of supplies).

The three key colorants she uses are Posca markers, alcohol ink markers and pastels.  She uses a printed image for the shape.

Remember that shrink plastic does shrink considerably so the drawn images have to be larger. You probably have to test to see how much your particular brand of shrink plastic shrinks to.

Amy finishes off the pieces with resin. You do have to protect the colorants.  She uses UV resin which is necessary to created that drip because what she wanted is to make juicy fruit earrings!
