Working with ribbon is something I keep at a minimum simply because I am all thumbs with them. Not so Bogdana Prots, the talented Ukrainian ribbon embroidery artisan behind BeadSplendour.
Her work is gorgeous as she so cleverly takes advantage of the ribbon to create petals and leaves. The soft drape of the ribbon is especially effective in her sunflowers. Her bouquet pendants are exquisite - such dainty compositions.
Bogdana also offers some hoop ribbon embroidery PDFs if you would like to learn the technique.
Given the name of her store, she is also good with beads so be sure to check out her Youtube channel too! One of her video shorts shows how a ribbon rose is created.
