The most common way to make sea glass jewelry is to wire wrap the pieces. You can also drill sea glass so you can use the hole for a bail. Accomplished metalsmiths can create bezels for them. But what if you can't for any reason do any of that?
Watch this tutorial by Kernowcraft on Youtube. This series of projects include some ways of using little pieces of sea glass, mostly with glue. There is a very simple wire wrap demo as well as one on how to create a thin bail from wire.
The glue used here is 2 part epoxy glue. When made fresh like this, the glue is very strong. Trying to fill small bezels and the inside of tiny bead caps is tricky, so also consider hypo cement with its tiny nozzle.

I've never in my life found sea glass; so I also watched the video on how to make faux sea glass! thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love 2 part epoxy glues. I have been using them for 20+ years and you can mix as little as you want. No min quantity like epoxy resin. Did you know that you can do decorative work on tiles using this glue? You can paint it as well. It used to be a popular craft growing up.
