Hand Crafted Word or Text Bead Tutorials | The Power of Words
Not to long ago, a reader was looking on how to make word or text beads. She stumbled upon a very old post of mine and found that the links were no longer valid. A perennial problem with long running blogs like mine!
So I did a little digging to find more up to date ones. Here are a couple. The first is this tutorial which is made from scrap fabric, paper, beads glue and wire.

How to Make Wine Cork Charms
It really seems a waste to just toss wine bottle corks into recycling. Cork is a wonderfully lightweight natural material which can be used in jewelry making. Cork is impermeable so there is no worries of it getting soggy at all. And should you drop cork jewelry in any body of water, it will float!

It features recycled bottles which double as unusual photo displays. She called them memory bottles because you can add sea shells, little pebbles or sand from a holiday.
