Art Deco Inspired Wire Weaving Tutorial

One of my students attending my beginner traditional wire wrapped cabochon classes was puzzled how wire weaving can be used as a bezel or as design elements in a complex piece.

The trick is to work with a group of foundation wires. Once the wire weaving is done, the whole thing can be bent around a cabochon or used as a frame and so on.

I particularly love this wire weaving tutorial by Valeriy Vorobev. It reminds me of Art Deco or basket work. I have featured his work before.
