Some of the best clay artisans are those who work with metal clay. Pennsylvanian designer, Margaret is one of those. Her woodland garden inspired work for her GwydionsGarden shows her virtuosity with both metal clay and polymer clay.

Her metal clay jewelry shows her exquisite renditions of many flowers and garden denizens like ladybirds (ladybugs).  I particularly love how she adds bezeled gemstones to some designs in the colors of the real flowers!  That adds pops of color as well as shows her attention to details.

She also offers what she calls her botanical icon paintings. These are small OOAK wall art which are polymer clay framed original paintings on capiz shells. The rabbit, frog, eagle and deer are beautifully painted.

Margaret explains :
I've always been artistically inclined with a tendency to obsess over the details. I created this shop as a way to channel these compulsions. Having studied as an artist / illustrator and worked as a designer, these experiences always influence my creative work and perspective.
Like many, I am inspired by nature. I find my instruction from every curve, color, and intricate line of the natural world. The hand painted ornaments and jewelry found in Gwydion's Garden are my way of celebrating nature's infinite beauty and character.
