Ever wanted to add ear pieces to your ears but don't wish to have more than one hole in each ear lobe? Consider ear cuffs!
Japanese crafter Miyalan DIY on Youtube has an easy tutorial which can be embellished with either beads or non-hole glass pieces (shown in the picture above). She used 22G wire for the former because bead holes are smaller and 20G for the non-hole glass pieces. Be extra careful and secure the non-hole glass pieces.
This particular tutorial by another Japanese instructor, WireBeadsChannel, uses rhinestone montees. The crucial bits of info on the video are in English.
This tutorial uses tiny seed beads for a design which reminds me of rhinestone hoops! The instructor is Shanna's Wire Wrap.

clever! and they appear easy enough.
ReplyDeleteI have long avoided making ear cuffs because I personally find them uncomfortable to wear. However, people like them and I'm tempted to try this easy tutorial :)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love this! I wear at least one - sometimes up to 10 ear cuffs - every single day. I do not go a day without lining my ear with ear cuffs. I do it for me even tho I don't work in an office anymore. But dressing up my ears - even if I'm outside painting the fence - just feels good - and - looks good!! Ear cuffs are perfect for people who can't wear pierced earrings and mixing and matching them simply adds to the fun!
