As a child I spent hours creating Fimo pieces, most of which were heavily dusted with gold powder 'for extra beauty'. Ten years ago I rekindled my love affair with polymer clay and started creating buttons galore. Tens of thousands of buttons later, I'm just as passionate about polymer clay and I'm constantly seeking to push the envelope with what I can create.
When I first started making buttons way back around 2008-2009 I was very involved in the Ravelry fibre community. My username on Ravelry was Benji, so when I started making buttons, initially for my own projects, I came up with the name Buttons by Benji. For many years I only made buttons, but then when I moved out into other products I needed a new name, and that's where Ginger Mint Collection came in, incorporating Buttons by Benji and all my new products such as earrings, Christmas decorations and lanyards.
She is currently doing her Masters in Audiology in addition to her polymer clay business. Now that is one busy lady!
