I've written about hundreds of amazing jewelry designers over the years.  What do I look for?  Innovative and memorable handmade designs.  Good photography.   What can be more inspirational than these 10 designers whose Etsy shops I featured years ago?  They are still there when many have just given up.  There will always be competition, but doing something different and upping your game is the way to go.

Also wonderful is seeing how some of these designers have grown since I wrote about them through new designs and expanded stores. One (Paper Melon) even revamped their store with a new name! Truly inspirational.

First one up is Jolanta Pietzak of Alabama Studio which is in Poland.  She makes beautiful wire wrapped jewelry (her earrings are shown above) and takes wonderful photographs. (Original feature).

Odile Gova, the Canadian designer behind the wildly popular Woolly Fabulous creates whimsical felt and zipper teeth jewelry. She also shares her technique through her tutorials.  (Original feature).

KUKLA Studio is based in Barcelona, Spain.  Amazing wire and glass resin jewelry pieces! (Original feature  and a more recent feature)

Ashley Mae (a.k.a Pinky) from Phoenix, Arizona makes adorable miniature beaded dresses (among other things) for her store, PinkythePink! (Original feature)

Chatnoir77 is a Montreal based designer who makes fun wire earrings and jewelry.  You've got to love these wire moose earrings of hers! (Original feature)

Virginian Liz Hall, the amazing silver smith and polymer clay artist behind Lizards Jewelry really wows with her mixed media skills! (Original feature)

Danielle and Catherine are the Montreal artisans behind CatherinetteRings - their steampunk rings are made with crystals, taxidermy eyes, gemstones and timepieces! (Original feature)

One of the most viewed designer I ever featured is Alena Stavtseva who makes amazing vine like wire jewelry.  (Original feature)

Italian artisan Katrin of KatrinShine made  simple leather jewelry when I first wrote about her.  Now her leather jewelry really rocks now! (Original feature)

Paper Melon was once known as Hippie Kingdom.  Devi Chand of India makes unique paper jewelry in her inimitable style. (Original feature)
